Washington, D.C. (January 7, 2022): Congratulations to Dennis Quinn, who has been selected by the Virginia Law Foundation as an incoming Fellow of the Class of 2022.
The Virginia Law Foundation’s mission is to promote the rule of law, access to justice and law-related education through philanthropy. The Virginia Law Foundation’s Fellows Program encourages civic-mindedness and recognized leaders in the legal profession, not just in their practices but in their communities as well. Therefore, Fellows represent the best and brightest legal practitioners, committed to the highest ideals of the law and to the concept of citizen lawyers. Each year, Virginia State Bar members and colleagues are given the opportunity to nominate exemplarily individuals for this prestigious honor. Dennis has been active in numerous bar activities over the years. He currently serves as Chair of the Virginia State Bar’s Standing Committee on Legal Ethics was an elected representative to the Virginia State Bar Council from 2012- 2020. He has also served in past positions such as President of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys and was on its Board of Directors. Dennis was served on the faculty of the Virginia State Bar’s Professionalism Course taught to all newly admitted Virginia attorneys. Dennis has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America in the area of Ethics and Professional Responsibility Law in 2021 and is recognized on the Super Lawyers List in 2016- 2021 for Professional Liability Defense.
Dennis regularly advises lawyers and law firms on ethical issues, and frequently speaks to bar associations and professional groups on ethics, risk management, and the avoidance of malpractice claims and bar complaints. Dennis serves as Carr Maloney’s General Counsel.
